Safety First
Erecting a Bouncy Castle or Inflatable on hardstanding
-
Airquee from whom we purchase the majority of our castles recommend as follows
- "Each anchor point must be attached to something which will withstand a force of 165kg. This can be weights or sandbags or fittings already in the ground"
- When we erect castles on hardstanding we will use any or a combination of the above to ensure that the Bouncy Castle is safely anchored.
Wind
-
In respect of Bouncy Castles, the most dangerous natural element is wind. We take this seriously and we will not inflate the bouncy castle if we feel the health and safety of the users will be compromised.
The legal maximum wind speed covering the use of bouncy castles specifies force 5 on the Beaufort scale which is 24 miles per hour. If the weather forecast gives this force of wind or more, we will contact you before delivery or on site to discuss/assess the situation.
Supervision
- As hirer, you are responsible for ensuring that the Bouncy Castle or Inflatable is constantly supervised by a person of at least 18 years of age who is not under the influence of alcohol or drugs (prescribed or non- prescribed).
- The manufacturer’s instructions as to the numbers of users and height restrictions - found on the panel on the side of the Bouncy Castle/Inflatable must be adhered to at all times.
We provide Bouncy Castles and Inflatables from Donaghadee to Portaferry on the Peninsula, Comber to Downpatrick around Strangford Lough and in Newtownards, Bangor and East/South Belfast.
